Refund Policy

This Refund Policy sets out the terms and conditions under which refunds may be issued by Louisville Gaming. Please read this policy carefully before making any purchase or engaging with our services.

1. Nature of Our Services

Louisville Gaming is primarily an editorial gaming platform offering free, publicly accessible content. The vast majority of our content — including articles, guides, reviews, and analytical pieces — is available to all visitors at no charge and does not involve any financial transaction.

At present, Louisville Gaming does not offer paid subscriptions, premium content tiers, digital products for download, or e-commerce services. No financial transactions are currently processed through louisvillegaming.org.

2. When This Policy Applies

This Refund Policy would apply in the event that Louisville Gaming introduces any paid services, premium content, sponsored features, or other commercial offerings in the future. If such services are launched, specific refund terms applicable to those services will be communicated clearly at the point of purchase and will be incorporated into or added alongside this policy.

3. General Refund Principles

In the event that paid services are introduced, Louisville Gaming commits to the following principles:

  • Transparency: All pricing, billing cycles, and what is included in any paid offering will be clearly stated before purchase.
  • Fairness: Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis with fairness and good faith.
  • Statutory rights: Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

4. Digital Content

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for digital content purchases. However, once digital content has been accessed or downloaded, the right to cancel may not apply. Louisville Gaming will clearly state at the point of purchase whether accessing content affects cancellation rights, in compliance with applicable consumer protection law.

5. Subscription Services (Future)

Should subscription-based services be introduced:

  • Users will be able to cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings or by contacting us.
  • Cancellations made before the next billing cycle will prevent future charges.
  • Refunds for the current billing period will be considered where service delivery has been materially different from what was described.
  • Annual subscription refunds will be handled on a pro-rata basis where applicable and legally required.

6. Requesting a Refund

To request a refund for any eligible purchase or service, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your full name and email address associated with the transaction
  • Order or transaction reference number
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 business days and aim to resolve all refund requests within 14 business days. Refunds, where approved, will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow 3–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account following approval, depending on your payment provider.

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following would generally not be eligible for refunds:

  • Services that have been fully delivered and consumed as described
  • Purchases made in circumstances where refund ineligibility was clearly communicated and agreed to at the time of purchase
  • Requests made beyond the applicable refund window where no service failure has occurred

8. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with how a refund request has been handled, please contact us directly to escalate your concern. If you believe your consumer rights have not been respected, you may also seek guidance from:

  • Your local Trading Standards office
  • The Financial Ombudsman Service (where relevant)

We may update this Refund Policy as our services evolve. Any material changes will be communicated via an updated date on this page. Continued use of paid services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
